Randy Breske, vice-president of sales engineering for Stay-Lite Lighting received the NALMCO Distinguished Service Award Oct. 14 in Scottsdale, Ariz. at the organization’s annual meeting.
The award is given only once in a lifetime and it is not necessarily given every year. It is given to someone who has expressed willingness to give unselfishly their time and energy for their fellow NALMCO members and the betterment of the industry.
Breske, the current NALMCO president, received eight nominations for the award which recognizes time, energy and commitment to NALMCO. Highlights of Breske’s leadership within NALMCO include educating the U.S. Congress on lighting-related measures established in the new Energy Policy Act. The act established new efficiency standards for lighting products, tax deductions for commercial buildings and energy efficiency standards for Federal buildings. Breske also played a critical role working with the IRS in matters pertaining to key Federal legislation.
“We’re very proud of how Randy has led this national organization,” said Kirk Tuson, president of Stay-Lite Lighting. “Under his leadership, NALMCO has become a powerful force in creating higher industry standards and making a tremendous positive impact on how businesses maintain their lighting systems. Stay-Lite can credit much of its success and growth from the association with NALMCO.”
