SHIV SUDAN, PRESIDENT

Shiv Sudan is the Vice President of RICO Lighting & Electrical Services Inc., a family-owned, national, full service electrical contractor in Toronto, Canada. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a degree in business administration, in addition to being a Master Electrician. He has 15+ years of experience in the industry, having apprenticed with RICO Electric at an early age and being actively involved in his family business. Shiv has been an active member of PLASMA since 2010.

Shiv resides in Oakville, ON with his wife, Tina, and their sons Jai and Neal.

 

Kyle McClelland, PRESIDENT-ELECT

Kyle McClelland is owner and President of Have Lights Will Travel in Nevada. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2009 with a BA in Information Systems. Have Lights Will Travel is based in Reno and services all of northern Nevada to the Utah-Nevada border. Have Lights currently has five bucket trucks and two service vehicles specializing in lighting and sign maintenance and repair. Have Lights is also a licensed Electrical Contractor and does electrical repairs and TI work for businesses. Over the years, Kyle has helped Have Lights Will Travel grow in size and area, expanding to include more RPM work for major companies such as Home Depot, Walgreens, and other major corporations. In addition to his involvement with PLASMA, Kyle is part of NALMCO and is CALT certified, as well as a Board Member of EAR, a local networking organization.

Kyle lives in Sparks, NV with his wife with their four children.

 

Jarad Bailey, director

Jarad Bailey is the President of Environmental Lighting Service (ELS). He joined the firm in 2010 and has helped grow the business from a local service firm to a regional presence that currently services most major cities in Texas and provides turnkey projects and labor throughout Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. ELS offices currently include Dallas Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. Jarad is NAILD certified and is currently accumulating hours to sit for his Journeyman Electrician license. Jarad serves on the PLASMA board with additional affiliations including BOMA, IREM, and the TSA. 

Jarad is a native Texan who has received a BBA from SMU and an MBA in Finance from TCU, as well as holding a Series 3 license for futures and commodities. Outside of his business roles, he is active in athletics, home improvement, shooting, and scuba diving, along with spending time with his wife, Lauren.

 

Dan Lareau, director

Dan Lareau joined Lighting Service, Inc. in 2005 as Master Electrician and Vice President of Operations. In his role, he collaborates with the management team on strategic business initiatives, manages field operations, and provides support and assistance for the sales staff. Before coming to Lighting Service, Dan owned and operated an electrical contracting company in Central Illinois for ten years. He holds the NALMCO Certified Lighting Management Consultant (CLMC) certification, and was among the first in the country to receive the Certified Lighting Controls Professional (CLCP) certification. He is an experienced commercial lighting designer and was trained to develop photometric layouts longhand with a calculator and graph paper. Today he uses photometric software to develop and present photometric layouts for prospective projects. In addition to PLASMA, Dan is involved with NALMCO and the Independent Electrical Contractors Association of St Louis.

Dan was born and raised on a farm in Central Illinois and is part of a large family, which might explain why he loves people so much. His interests outside of work include international culture and travel, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Todd Mendelsohn, director

Todd Mendelsohn is the Director of Imperial Lighting. He is currently responsible for leading growth and sales for the company by adding business lines, major clients, and an expanded territory. He is part of the third generation of ownership for the firm, which was founded in 1973. Todd is active in several industry organizations, such as PLASMA, while remaining focused on the growth of Imperial Lighting.

Todd graduated from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business in 2005. Prior to Imperial Lighting, he spent six years in the corporate real estate industry with a focus on business growth through recruitment and operations management. Todd currently lives in Chicago with his wife.

 

Lydia Roze, director

Lydia Roze is the President of Vista Universal, Inc. She has been committed to Vista for over 25 years, having joined the company as Receptionist. Since then, she has dedicated herself to the success of the company as a Service Secretary, Office Manager, Vice President, and now President. Vista is a licensed Electrical Contractor and Sign Contractor with its corporate office in Hayward and additional offices in Sacramento, Fresno, Los Angeles, and San Diego. In addition to her work with Vista, Lydia also serves as President of the Bay Area Builders Exchange.

Lydia lives in Livermore, CA with her husband and daughter. Her daughter is a nursing student at the University of San Francisco. Lydia’s hobbies include traveling, party planning, and anything related to Disney.

 

Bill Shank, director & past president

Bill Shank is the CEO of Lighting Technologies, an Atlanta-based commercial lighting firm focused on quick response time, knowledgeable and courteous technicians, and the ability to solve most every lighting issue. Bill is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI).  Bill and Lighting Technologies are also involved in NALMCO, Illuminating Engineering Society, and the Cobb County Georgia Chamber of Commerce.

A native of Pittsburgh, Bill earned an MBA from the George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University and his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
